Add a Text us button to your website

Generate a link that opens a visitor’s messaging app with your business number ready.

Generate the button from your number

  1. Select the project that owns your ready business number and open Numbers.
  2. Open the number’s iMessage link button tool. Check that the destination is the line your team will monitor.
  3. Write a short suggested opening message, then copy the generated link or HTML for your website.
  4. Add it to the page and display the business phone number beside it as a fallback.

A click opens a draft

The link hands off to a messaging app when the visitor’s device supports it. The visitor can edit the draft and must choose Send. Clicking the button alone does not create an inbound conversation or a new lead in Miss Blue.

The receiving device and messaging setup determine the channel. The button cannot guarantee a blue bubble, a read receipt, or a successful handoff from every browser.

Test the page your visitors will use

  • Try the published page on a phone and check the destination and prefilled message.
  • Keep the number visible for visitors whose browser cannot open a messaging app.
  • Send one agreed test message and confirm that your team sees it in the correct project.
  • Check notification preferences for the people who will respond. First-time inbound conversations may need attention in the shared inbox even when no member has participated yet.
