Using the Message Center

Create and manage a group conversation

Start a group with at least two recipients and manage its shared name, photo, and participants.

Start the group with a first message

  1. Open Conversations in the intended project and choose New group.
  2. If more than one source is available, choose the sending number in From.
  3. Enter a phone number or iMessage email under People, then choose Add or press Enter. Repeat for at least two recipients.
  4. Review the participant chips and remove any incorrect entry before sending.
  5. Write the First message and choose Create group. The first send creates the conversation.

Change group details

Open the group and choose Group settings. You can save a group name, choose or remove a photo, and use the available participant controls. Group photos accept JPEG or PNG files up to 10 MB.

These changes affect the actual Messages conversation for everyone. They are not private labels in your own inbox. Participant changes depend on the group and platform rules; read the displayed restriction or error instead of assuming every group supports every change.

Keep replies in the group

Reply from the open group conversation. Starting a new direct message to one participant does not reply to the group. Check the group title and participant list before sharing files or customer information.

Group message volume can appear in Analytics, but groups do not enter the new lead contact-rate or one-to-one reply-time calculations. GoHighLevel’s current inbox connection does not import group conversations.
