Choose sending numbers and use Auto routing

Set the project default, keep a contact on the same line, and understand the new-contact allowance.

Choose the project default

A workspace admin can open Project settings and find Sending numbers. Choose a specific number leaves the choice explicit; Auto · round robin distributes new contacts across eligible active dedicated project numbers.

Auto selects a number with room for new outreach, then saves that number for the contact. It does not rotate every reply. Existing conversations keep their original sending number when you change the project default.

Choose a number for one contact

When adding a contact or starting a new conversation, choose a specific sending number if that customer should hear from a particular line. This becomes the saved choice for future Auto and GoHighLevel messages.

Auto in Add a contact preserves an existing saved number and waits until the first send to choose one for a new contact. Saving a name alone does not use sending capacity. When replying in an existing thread, keep that thread’s original number.

Understand which numbers Auto can use

Auto uses active dedicated numbers in the selected project that your account can access. Shared or disabled lines do not join the rotation. The default new-contact allowance is 50 per number in a rolling 24 hours, subject to the line or organization’s configured limits.

Replies and follow-ups do not consume another new-contact slot. Other pacing and content checks still apply; Auto does not remove those checks or guarantee capacity for every send.

If the saved number is unavailable

Miss Blue keeps the contact’s assignment when a line is disabled or moved. Choose a replacement deliberately instead of assuming the conversation will move automatically. Check existing history and update external workflows that still specify the old line.

GoHighLevel follows saved contact choices in Auto mode. For new contacts in specific-number mode, it uses the number chosen when the integration was connected.
