Request a transfer of an existing number

Prepare carrier details and understand the difference between a transfer request and a live line.

Gather the current carrier information

An existing-number transfer needs review and setup. Before submitting, confirm that you are authorized to transfer the number and have the current carrier’s account details available.

  • The full phone number, including its country code.
  • The current carrier and carrier account number.
  • A transfer PIN if the carrier issued one, plus the billing ZIP.
  • The intended Miss Blue project and an optional forwarding destination.

Submit the transfer details

Submitting the form does not make the number live immediately or confirm that every carrier can transfer it. Setup is complete when the team confirms it and the number is available in your project.

  1. Confirm the intended workspace and project and check that dedicated-number capacity is available.
  2. Choose the transfer option in number setup and enter the current number and carrier details.
  3. Add the forwarding destination and any relevant setup notes, then submit the request.
  4. Watch the request’s status and respond to any clarification from the Miss Blue team.

Keep the existing service active during review

Do not cancel the current SIM or carrier service while the transfer is pending. Agree on the handoff with support before replacing a production workflow or telling customers to use a changed setup.

Once the line is ready, test a message, an inbound reply, and any configured phone forwarding. Treat old-provider history and integrations as a separate migration; a number transfer does not promise to import them.
