Request a forwarding change
The form gives the expected setup timing and explains when a number is not eligible or has no changes remaining. Incoming phone forwarding does not forward FaceTime Audio or change your browser’s microphone.
- Open the number from your project’s Numbers page and find Call forwarding.
- Check Currently forwarded to, any pending request, and the remaining changes shown for this month.
- Enter the destination with + and its country code, then choose Request change when the form is available.
- Return to the card to check the result. The current destination changes after staff complete the request, not merely after submission.
A callback phone has a different purpose
Some lines support an outbound mode that rings your own phone before connecting the customer. Staff enable that mode; your personal destination is set under Phone calls in Settings when available.
Answer the first leg to connect to the customer. Changing the callback phone does not change where incoming business calls are forwarded.
Enable recording before the call
Recording starts off for each number. Open its recording settings, read the acknowledgement, and enable Record calls from this number if you are responsible for the required participant consent. The setting records who enabled it and when.
Turning recording off stops recording future calls; it does not delete existing recordings. Do not assume a call made before recording was enabled has recoverable audio.
Play a completed recording
Open Calls and choose Play when a recording is ready. A call can be completed while its recording is still finishing or uploading. FaceTime Audio capture uses the browser; regular phone calls use the phone provider’s recording path.
If Play is missing, check the recording status and whether recording was enabled before the call. Capture failed means a playable recording did not complete. Share the call ID and status with support instead of assuming Answered guarantees a recording.
